  • Most powerful HV?

    2 questions
    1) What is the most powerful HV dryer on the market now?
    2) Is equipment cheapier at Groom Expo such as dryers and do they have demo's?

I think the most powerful HV is the k9III. I have the k9II and it is very powerful and the III supposedly has a third motor that adds to the power. To be honest I don't know what I would need that much power for except to make the little dogs fly...lol

Several years ago I bought the Granddaddy (Romani). My research at the time indicated it was the quietest of the big ones. I figured since I'd be using it a lot, it was worth the extra money to get the quiter one. I positively love it. It has a variable dial for pressure which is very handy. I've never had a problem with it, but if I do I know the Romani's will take care of me. The hose is very flexible and I have it on a stainless steal rolling cart, very handy.

I've tried a lot of dryers, though not all of them by any means. I currently have a K9II and a Circuiteer. The Circuiteer is by far the more powerful. Mind you, they're supposed to be the same dryer. Don't know why the Circuiteer is more powerful, but it is.

            Circuiteer concern

Seems my dryer gets hotter than it use to. Too hot to me. I just turn it off & finish up with my metro(s) depending on the dog.

The motors were replaced when I first got it over a year ago.
            My husband maintains it well.

I want to continue to use it. -blows like nothing else. I even thought of cutting the wire off the heating element.

Thanks for any help on this.

I had never heard of the Circuiteer, it does look like the same dryer. I will have to look into it too.

PetsRus, I just realized you had a 2nd question. I have never gotten a deal for a new piece of equipment at a show. But I saved on shipping, which in some cases is substantial. I understand that they auction off stuff at the end of Groom Expo, but I've never stayed for that. I've heard you can get some good deals that way...maybe someone else has more info on that.

Agree w/Helly. We've always used CircuiteerIIs in our trucks but a couple of years ago I bought a K-9II cuz it came in red and was 'sposed to be the exact same dryer. The K9 doesn't have the power the Circ has at all. It's 'ok' but next time it's back to the Circs for us.
Circuiteers are also a few dollars less which sweetens the deal. They're cattle dryers, made for the show cattle folks and last near forever.

I've been riding with an experienced bather the past few weeks (broke my wrist) who 'thought' she'd used good HVs before. <grin> She cranked up both motors on my Circ and about fainted with joy. It's a whole new, much more enjoyable world for her...she wants one!

I googled it, and there are a lot of suppliers. I'm not going to check every single one of them for prices, but of the ones I did check, this one had the best price.
