  • Plastic leg covers for Poodles

On ebay there is an auction for the above. They are used for making bracelets I guess.

    Anyone seen or used these?

    Tell me more please.

I tried looking up on ebay what you are talking about but can't seem to find it? I'm interested to see exactly what it is.

      Poodle leg covers

I don't see the ad on ebay, but I can tell you what leg covers are for in the show circuit. When male poodles hike their legs, they pee down their front legs and make yellow staining. Not to mention the smell. Most male show dogs with hair get their legs covered before they go out to potty. Hope this helps.

I would really like to know where to get leg covers for poodles, my boss has a male who always pees on his front legs and she would like to keep his front legs clean.

I also hate it when my mini poo goes outside and its been raining or there is dew on the grass and her legs get allll curled up and wet. yuck! It always happens just after a bath too!!

I know most dog show people make their own.

                nope. none of the above

They are hard plastic, not material.

                Nevermind.
                Thanks anyhow

Can you post a link, or can you tell us the search criteria? It's easier to tell if we can have a look-see!

                    Hey - lemme tell ya

My toy poodle that I keep in show coat peed down his front legs, too. I was about to sew up some leg covers for him, when someone here posted a bit about "pee strings". Evidently a new client of hers wanted to be sure she didn't cut off her dog's "pee strings". Wha-a-a??? She said if you leave the little tassel at the end of his privates, it will divert the pee down, instead of out front on his legs. Well, let me tell you - IT WORKS!!!! Of course, it looks pretty dumb on a dog with a short haircut, but on one in a longer trim, it's hidden. You don't have to leave much - just enough to "guide the stream"!

It sounded ridiculous, but I was desperate. So glad I gave it a try
