Hey everyone!! I love this new board by the way!!! I wanted to know which andis clippers to buy? I dont know if the 2 speeds are really truly better or not, I am still a newbie. Obviously. Just curious. I plan on getting some within the next week or so. Thanx.

I have the blue andis ultra edge and love it. I have a hard time holding the rectangular shaped ones which is the main reason I went with the ultra edge. As for single speed of 2 I have only used the slower speed a few times, mainly just to clean blades.

I love the Andis Ultraedge. I especially liked when the added the extra long cord length to the blue and grey versions!! Rarely do I use the 1 speed, always on 2nd. I started out with the Oster...couldn't stand the fan on the end. I know others that swear by Laube, but have always seen them replacing parts more so than I have to with my Andis clippers.

See, I have a hard time holding the round shaped Ultra Edge, and the Osters.
I use the Andis Super 2 speeds. I like them. However, I have never tried a Laube or a Wahl. I have 3 sets of Andis ..2 of the 2 speed and one single speed. I figure I wont be needing to buy a new clipper for a while, but when I do, I may just try the Wahl.

We use the Andis Ultra Edge 2 speed and really like them but after a year we've sent 2 sets away to be repaired. The high speed goes out in them. We've ordered parts because yet again the high speed has gone out after a few months of being repaired. Of course the hours we put on ours may have something to do with it too, we really work our clippers!

I've used the Andis UltraEdge (blue) and I've used Andis Powergroom. I personally have to say I like my powergroom better just because it is smaller (i have little hands, lol), and i feel like it is easier to work with on the little dogs, and tough enough for the big ones! The speed is good too. I guess it's all just a matter of opinion and personal preferance.
