  • andis clippers?

Hey everyone!! I love this new board by the way!!! I wanted to know which andis clippers to buy? I dont know if the 2 speeds are really truly better or not, I am still a newbie. Obviously. Just curious. I plan on getting some within the next week or so. Thanx.

I have the blue andis ultra edge and love it. I have a hard time holding the rectangular shaped ones which is the main reason I went with the ultra edge. As for single speed of 2 I have only used the slower speed a few times, mainly just to clean blades.

I don't like Andis clippers. Never have, probably never will. They vibrate too much and it makes my whole arm ache after just one dog.

I'm for Wahl, all the way.

I like the Andis Super 2 Speed. I don't use it on hi speed much, tho-just on the really thick or matted guys.
Old groomers never die, they just go at a slower clip.

        Groom on!!!

I have heard good things about the ultra edge clippers. I had a pair of powergrooms and was really disappointed in them.

I like the Andis Ultra Edge...but I LOVE my Laube's.. I've used Laube's for 10 years. I keep a pair of Ultra edge as backups....but I have NEVER had to use them!!! My other groomer has the ultra edge and she has been pleased with them.

I love the Andis Ultraedge. I especially liked when the added the extra long cord length to the blue and grey versions!! Rarely do I use the 1 speed, always on 2nd. I started out with the Oster...couldn't stand the fan on the end. I know others that swear by Laube, but have always seen them replacing parts more so than I have to with my Andis clippers.

I have the andis 2 speed and like them but just got a pait of Oster cheap on ebay. The oster are a little wider so I have a tendancy to stick with my andis

See, I have a hard time holding the round shaped Ultra Edge, and the Osters.
I use the Andis Super 2 speeds. I like them. However, I have never tried a Laube or a Wahl. I have 3 sets of Andis ..2 of the 2 speed and one single speed. I figure I wont be needing to buy a new clipper for a while, but when I do, I may just try the Wahl.

We use the Andis Ultra Edge 2 speed and really like them but after a year we've sent 2 sets away to be repaired. The high speed goes out in them. We've ordered parts because yet again the high speed has gone out after a few months of being repaired. Of course the hours we put on ours may have something to do with it too, we really work our clippers!

                      single speed

I use the Andies single speed, simply because my school provided that for us.

Their take on the two speed thing, was, that the higher speed just wore the clippers out sooner, and was not necessary.

I've used the Andis UltraEdge (blue) and I've used Andis Powergroom. I personally have to say I like my powergroom better just because it is smaller (i have little hands, lol), and i feel like it is easier to work with on the little dogs, and tough enough for the big ones! The speed is good too. I guess it's all just a matter of opinion and personal preferance.

Do the Andis blades fit on the wahl? I am looking to replace my andis. I hate them and I thought it was me. cant seem to get any blade life out of them.

Andis Ultra Edge 2 speed all the way!! I am very hard on my clippers (butterfingers..lol) and these baby's just keep on clipping! And yes, the second speed is very handy!
