  • Cannot send email but happy to share.

I cannot email from this puter because the email is administered by Word and I haven't downloaded it on this one yet. So thank you for the welcome and I will try to cut and paste my policy statement here for those who asked if I would share. It was done in Works so it might not work. AAuugghh!
I am a real lame brain in this environment.

    That’s…GROOMER TO YOU!

    Policies that you should know:

Although most pets are very well behaved when in my care, not all are perfect angels. I understand this and welcome the different personalities as part of my job. That stated…

You, the owner of your dog/dogs:
claim that your dog/dog’s have never bitten anyone.

You, the owner of your dog/dogs:
agree that IF your dog/dogs attempt in earnest to bite the Groomer (therefore making it an undesirable candidate for grooming by “That’s Groomer to you!” mobile grooming service),
you will pay a $50.00 Service Fee to “That’s Groomer to You!”.

You the owner of your dog/dogs will let me know of any allergies, sensitivities or pre-existing conditions that your dog has so that I can accommodate them.

If you prefer that I use a particular product on your dog, I will use it when you provide it . Please don’t forget to let me know about your particular preference.

My philosophy is to offer a stress free grooming experience for your dog.

I will not perform any grooming procedure that causes a dog pain or a level of stress that I think is dangerous for your dog.

Dematting is painful, time-consuming, and a costly procedure that causes extremes discomfort for your dog.
Excessive Matted Coats will be shaved off. This process will allow healthy hair to grow back.

Some procedures during the groom may be stressful to your dog, even though they are routine in a typical grooming procedure.

In this case, I will recommend that these procedures are best left to the care of a veterinarian.

    VERIFICATION OF INNOCULATIONS:

    1. You must present to me a copy of verification from a Veterinarian that your Dog up to date concerning his or hers inoculations for Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and DHLLP.
    2. This verification must be on paper with breed, sex, age, name, and dates of inoculations.
A tag on the collar is not an acceptable substitution.
    Borditello is recommended.
Kennel cough is an air born contagion. Even though your Dog will be in my van for a short time there is a possibility that a previous client may have just returned from a kennel before his or her groom, hence the rare exposure is a possibility.
    3. Puppies should have had all of their worm preventions done before their exposure to any environment were other dogs have been. All three preventions must be completed (4, 8, and 12 weeks) and verification must be presented before their first groom.

    PAYMENTS:

    1. Cash is always preferred.

    2. Your Driver’s License will be needed for ID when using a Check for payment.
There will be a $30.00 charge for NSF. Checks will not be held.

    3. Payment will be made immediately after Groom.

    4. Checks shall be made to: That’s Groomer to You!

    APPOINTMENTS:

“That’s Groomer to You!” will arrive as close to the scheduled appointment time as possible. Sometimes situations will occur that will disrupt the daily schedule for the Groomer, such as, stress for an older dog or very young dog during a groom, an abnormality discovered during the groom, traffic. The dogs’ safety will never be compromised by rushing to meet a schedule. You will be called and advised of an arrival time when schedules change beyond my control.

    1. All Grooms are by appointment only. It is important that I can make sure that I will have enough time to give your pet the appropriate attention.

    2. Please be there “at your home” at the appropriate time for your appointment.
    If you are not…
You have not only deprived your Dog of a needed groom but you have deprived me of the opportunity of making my wage. You have also denied another customer the opportunity to have their Dog Groomed.

After 15 minutes delay you will be considered a NO SHOW.
You will then be charged a NO SHOW Penalty Fee and will have to be rescheduled for another Appointment.
You will be charged $50.00 for a service call.

    3. You will agree to PREPAY for your next Appointment.

Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.

You, the owner of your dog/dogs, understand that sometimes accidents happen while grooming. If in the process of the groom something occurs for which your dog/dogs may require veterinary care, based on a preexisting condition, you the owner of your dog/dogs, agree to accept the responsibility for any veterinary fees incurred.

If you have concerns about your Dog’s Grooms you must notify me within 48 hours of the appointed time of the groom. I will discuss scheduling an appointment to resolve the problem at the earliest time available.

I have read and accept these policies for this groom today and any and all future grooming appointments for any and all dogs that I own.

    Owner____________________ Date_________________

    Groomer___________________ Date__________________

I can't believe I accomplished this. I the third paragraph from the end the operative words are "based on a pre-existing condition". When it comes to a matted first-timer I do pics first.

If you can access this site, you can access yahoo. You can set up a free email account with them and use that, if it is easier! Of course, there are other free accounts you can get too.
