Groomer Offers 100% of Sunday (today) Proceeds to Families of Orlando Victims
WLOS — ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Pet owners have a chance this weekend to get your dog looking their best while supporting a great cause.
On Sunday, Canine Shear Heaven in Asheville on McDowell Street holds an event to support the families of the 49 victims in the Orlando mass shooting.
"Paws for Pulse" will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The groomer will have refreshments for dogs and their owners, and a raffle.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the victims' families through a GoFundMe sponsored site by Equality Florida.
"Because dog grooming is what we do, we're professionals at it, it's a way we can use out profession for something we really believe in." said manager Stephanie Worley.
To get in as many dogs as they can tomorrow between 10 and 3, the groomers are offering limited services including baths and brush-outs.
