  • "Stop taking pictures!!!"

Here's my baby. SPIKE the Yorkie, born March of 2001 in Seoul, South Korea. He was owned by an Australian man who had to return to his country. Australia has 6 month quarantine laws, and the man didn't want Spike to be in quarantine that long, so he asked a vet to adopt him out to somebody. A year later, after sitting in a kennel, I adopted him. He was nearly bald on his head, ears, and his un-docked tail was totally bald, not even peach fuzz on it. The rest of his hair was very long. I took him home, fed him Science Diet (that was the best food they had in South Korea), and he really came alive, and all the hair grew back, as you can see. He was afraid of his own shadow, and he's still a little skiddish now, but he's a real goofball, a very happy little dog. I love him dearly. He will be 6 years old soon, I can't believe it. He is the apple of my eye, I can't imagine life without him, it would break my heart.

How recent are your pics of Spike? He doesn't look like he has changed much in the last couple of years, he's still as cute as ever.

I know what you mean about not being able to stop taking pictures!! I find it very difficult not to take pics of Toby all the time. He goes with me when I go to groom, he sits in the chair next to the tub and watches me bath the dogs and then sits on the grooming table and watches me finish them up, they are on the grooming bench not the table. I would love to share pics but I just haven't figured out how to do it and frankly I'm just too LAZY to try.

          Couple more

Kilroy, schnauzer we got in 97' before we moved to Indy, picture is of him in his "rhodesian ridge rat" persona still with us and being a snot-ball terrier will never leave or die. Bubba, black dsh that came with the house in 04' and is fitting in well. Bodie, 4 year old quarter horse gelding I got last winter and who hasn't killed me yet. Come spring we will get a new puppy, probably a german short hair or weimeraner, something short haired but athletic that can go on horse rides with me.

Back when we had all three dogs I would get the camera out and they would all sit in front of me tilt their heads to the side and pose. I must have 50 pictures of that pose.
