I usually do my manes more in balance...scissored down and blended..more like a U...with maybe an A comb or 1/2Comb..depends on the size of the body. cute ole girl though!

She looks very nice, especially for an ole lady! I probably would have left her either more mane or less mane though depending on her coat and needs. If I get one that doesn't have a natural looking mane then I will go to base of the head and leave her a ruff on the neck and scissor to blend. You did a nice job and will probabaly quickly pick up the little nuances in a nice lion cut. It is one of my favorite cuts on Poms.

Yeah I like to blend the main more too but she was really old and kept barking at the air and kinda jumping up and would start to really stress if tried to hold her still at all. So it was kinda of a moving target. I kinda just did the big stuff I coulden't really fine tune it at all.

Just wondering if anyone could give me directions on how to cut my Golden Retreiver with a Lion Cut. It doesn't look that difficult and I have all of the equipment, just looking for guidelines

My best advice would be dont! Goldens should not be clipped.
