  • Mindy - shih tzu x

This is Mindy. She is done with a 3f using the Ivac. This is the first time I have groomed her, she was clipped short by the previous groomer but mum wants her kept longer. She was a very good dog.

NICE groomin' Linda!! Mindy is adorable! Did you use the 3f all over, legs too? She looks great...My 3's don't seem to look that good. I get the best results from using snap ons for this length. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. I don't have an IVAC either. It's on the wish list!

I used the 3 on the body and scissored the legs just to tidy, they were still too short from her previous groom so I want to grow them. Then I will use a 3f body and A comb legs. The 3 blades work really well for me now that I use Laube clippers because these clippers are very powerful, I previously used Andis and didnt use this blade much then.

          Mindy Is Cute

Not only does Mindy look cute the way you trimmed her, she is talented standing on her head like that.(2nd photo)I may be stupid but is a #3 a metal blade or a snap on? I have a thick blade like a #4 5/8 or something, I think it is a little scarey.

Very nice groom! Did you go w/or against the grain?

With the grain, with the vac. I do most grooms with the grain. The 3f is a blade, its really called 3 3/4, comes between a 4 and a 5/8.
