  • My 1st attempt at a poodle doo or,,,,,,

his butt was so matted I had to shave it! Had this little guy today, usually gets a #3 all over w/cf&cf. He was matted on his back end, there was no hope, it was gonna have to be a #7 all over, so I decided to try something new. The pictures are fuzzy cause he dosen't know the meaning of the word stand still. I didn't have anything to go by, so I just did it from memory of pics I have seen on here. OH, and how the heck do you blend the line on body and the jacket,, Geeze Louise,,,,lol. I'm sure there are lots of things I did wrong,, but it was just fun to be able to practice and his 11 year old human girl loved it,,,,

Turned out cute from what I could see. If you want to blend the jacket in more I would have used my scissors and blended it down so it was not so pronounced. The top knot what a little high in the middle and the back feet I would have taken up just a little more and blended the poms it sort of looks like they rest on the top of the feet. All in all if the owner liked it thats what counts IMO. Good job and cute scarf!

I see now from the pic I should have blended the jacket down, I was standing behind the dog trying to blend up,,,lol.. I have a bad habit of grooming from the back end. I was so focused on this dog, time got away from me, I looked at the clock and realized I had 2 dogs that had to be out in an hr, and I hadn't even touched them,,, Lucky for me it was a Chi bath and a shave down on a Shih,,,didn't think I could move that fast,, so you are right, the poms look weird, never even had time to work on them. Oh well, there's always next time,,,hehehe

It is a little hard to see from the pix. You did a good job fixing that mess on his back side! Did you coinsider sending these in to the Make-Over contest? He sure looks better!

I bet his little girl owner liked his nail polish, too!

I think you had the right idea, just needed a little more time to perfect it. He looks cute. Hopefully you can get him in soon and keep working on that trim!
