Standard poodle pics, 1st one :)

Hey guys! I just had a grooming interview (I'm sure you can tell who for haha), and they had me do a standard poodle. I've only done maybe one other standard poodle and that was just a #7 strip from mats! It took me about 3 hours, she HATED having her feet/legs messed with, but I got her done haha. I'm happy with how her topknot came out since I've only ever done topknots on toy/miniature poodles.

In the first "before" picture, she was standing very weird and it made her back arch, I fixed how she was standing but they didn't take another one from the side Also I know I need more practice on my scissoring, especially on the back of the legs but I did have two little old ladies standing at the window as I was finishing mouthing "OMG He's so beautiful!!" so that was nice

Any tips or critiques you guys could give me would be great! Thanks!

I think you did a beautiful job on the standard! They'd be silly not to hire you on the spot. I do think it's ridiculous that they got you to groom a standard poodle for your interview.. that's a bit much! As a salon owner I would never expect that of an interview.

One dog, total attention, love and artistry = recipe for success. When you start tell them they owe you the money on that groom. I would let you work on my babies anytime. Good with your career.
