  • Gracie's sweetheart cut

Well, I did it...I got a little creative and did a reverse sweetheart clip that I saw on another site. The points come together in the center of the back. I ended up shaving her neck to to form the top heart. This isn't the best picture, but if you look close you can see the little upside down heart on her butt. Creative grooming, here I come. lol!

She looks cute. I wish I had a poodle of my own so I could be a little more creative, and try some different cuts.

        Ohhhhh....

        How CUTE!

I miss my poor victims (ahem...uh...) I mean, poodles to try fun styles on. My Powderpuff cresteds bear the brunt of it now. Lol!

Awesome job on your sweetheart cut!

I think she looks sooo good! And good for you being so daring. Tell me, what blade did you use on the shaved parts? It looks really sharp. I'd love more pics if you have them.

That is very cute! I wish I still had my little poodle (but she would be about 43 years old now, Yikes)

I am glad I went back and did a better job of reading your post, as I thought, "Oh no!, I have been doing it wrong all these years." Than I read that it was upside down.

That is a cute clip I have been trying to get one client to switch up her plain dutch trim with this clip. I really like it.

Erin, to answer your question, I used a 10 blade on the shaved parts. I was very pleased with the way those parts looked. I was nervous, but her skin color just blends so well with her coat color.

Holly...It only took me about an hour and a half...10 minutes of that was standing there with the clippers trying to get up the courage to "dig in", lol.

I think I'm going to dye her heart but red this weekend, for valentines day.

Very nice. I guess I should do that to my poodle. I guess a black heart would be ok???? She is black.
