Standard Poodle

Here is a standard poodle I groom. The owner has two a male and a female and she brings them in every 6 weeks to be groomerd. She keeps them in a utility clip #1 comb a/o and CFFT.

Nice top knot. But whats going on with the tail??? If thats the way the owner wants it thats fine. But it looks like a broom tail... Its shaved way to high..

Thanks for the compliments! And yes the owner likes the broom tail!! The first time I did the dogs I did the tail correctly and she requested that I shave the beautiful tail way high and scissor the pom tight tight tight!

Oh that is one of my biggest pet peeves. A tail shaved too high. If the owner requested it I guess you have too but.... It may be a little manipulative but I ask my client if they would like me to "correct" the pattern on the tail, because it is making their dog look disproportioned. Works like a charm.

Poodlefluff, Thats my biggest pet peeves too.... Oh how I cringe when I see a tail like that....
