This is Mini Cooper, his owner wanted him trimmed all over. Well, it worked better this time than the first time! I got all the undercoat OUT and that helped a lot.
I really thought he looked soooooo good in the first pic. Didn't want to really look at the next one (I have a soft spot for Poms the way they are suppose to look) but I must say he looked really good in the second pic. He looks like a puppy. Very nice grooming there Tammy.

cute! i also do a pom in this length. On her rear legs i do a #4 in reverse up to her hock which comes out really nice.
I have trouble with the head/neck/chest. there's never a nice tranisition to the body & they always come out looking a little "helmet head -ish" do you know what i mean? last time i tried really defining the ears more & that helped ... but the rest i'm not real sure. any suggestions????
Very cute Tammy. One of my all time favorite things to do. I love scissor cuts on poms. When all the undercoat is removed their hair is so plush, and stands up nicely. I just love to scissor it. You did a great job.

very cute, and a very nice grooming job. I bet the customer was very happy. I have to admit, I really enjoy doing this type of cut on a pom. It gives them a nice tidy look and once the undercoat is out, it takes no time at all, and they do look very Puppy like.

Actually, it does look like there is no transition from the photo, but it's because he has a bandanna on. In all actuality, he looks smooth all over. What I do is I take the comb from the chin and go down the chest, and from the cheeks and go down the sides, etc... It all blends. If not, I use thinners.
Thanks guys. Coop is a good boy but he screams when I barely tug on a tangle, lol. Once I got the undercoat out, it was much better than the first time I tried this.
The first time I tried to get this clip on him, it didn't work so smoothly. It was awful, but the owner was happy. I explained it all to her and she told me before this groom that after a week it was "perfect," so I was happy that she didn't have to wait a week for this one to look ok, lol.
