Macy is a golden-doodle with super fine hair.

I used a "A" snap on comb a/o. including top of head and sides. Scissored over all.

Awwwww, Macy is adorable! I love the little bows - you did a nice job grooming her. She looks like she's dwarfing your table. Another great groom!

She looks VERY good. Very nice. You said we could critique your other grooms but not this one, and this one I only have one little thing I noticed: The back left foot has a "shelf" on it---that is my "weak" foot and mine often have shelves, of course sometimes the photos don't give us the best view of the dog.

I think you did a very nice job, I envy your grooming skills!

Critique away...didn't mean to leave this one out of "judgement".

I noticed on the before picture that her front elbow was quite thick...I groomed her last. I'll have to remember next time I do her to remind myself to check for "shelves". I have a bad habit of overlooking them as well.

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

And yes, I need a bigger table for that store *blushing*. I have a bigger one we dry the big ones on, but it's too unsteady for grooming on.

Very cute. A Doodle with a nubby tail? That's a first here.
            What's a "shelf"?

I noticed the nubby tail too, I think it is cute. The doodles I do have long tails. Nice job on her.

If you notice the front foot is nice and rounded whereas the back foot has a little bit of a "shelf", (not rounded on top). I think that's what Tammy means by shelf.

The only thing I would do differently is to make the under carriage straighter. (A little shorter under the chest and a little longer near the uptuck.) To me it looks kind of like she has really short front legs and is slanted, but when I cover the under carriage up with my finger, her topline looks much straighter. (Does that make any sense?) Everything else looks great to me, I wish I had more big dogs and mixes to groom!

Well, I always got "busted" for this at the last shop I worked at, so now I'm over-sensitized to it, lol. It's where the hair on top hangs ever so slightly over the hair underneat it. It can be on a foot, or on the face, etc...but it's hard to tell from the photos if there is a shelf for sure, so it's just a mild critique.

I think the dog turned out lovely, I really do.
