I need some help here. Her owner said she does not want her face shaved. "Nothing Pointy" to be exact. What can I do to make her look better? Her face looks too fat.

If your dog is fat, you are not getting enough exercise!

I think she is cute!! Does he want a round head? My suggestion would be keep on growing it round or do a mustache. Very cute little dog though!!

Have you tried taking it down with a snap on yet or done any thinning? I have some clients too, that don't want the pointy look. I usually leave a mustache/beard look then, but take it down short either with a s/o, thinners or both. She does have a precious little fat face, I think she looks cute and happy! Maybe someone else will have better advice!

Most of my clients that don't want a mustache or clean face, want a round head, and that is what I normally will do.

I don't particularly like how this dog turned out, but her face is kind of what I was explaining to you in PM...this dog was MATTED TO THE GILLS and I got a #4 through her. Ok, I just went ahead and put the before photo in too.

                Tammy, good job

I can never understand why people don't have their dog done more often when they can look like that all the time.Quite the transformation. cuteHow did you remove the matts? Dematting , i hate but, afterwards and the fluff ready to finish is the fun part, and worth the effort for the end result.

they don't want a round head either. Now that I am sort of awake I can comprehend. I need to see a poodle mustash.

What about a "clean face" with a 4F or 5F?

I'd tried to dig up a photo of a thinned muzzle I do on a poodle, I do quite a few but can't seem to find a pic. This girl here is a mix (I think, I just posted pics of her in another forum too), and I also shave the famous landing strip down her nose and shave under her eyes and under her ears (specifically requested by her owner). Her muzzle is big, round and fluffy before I thin it out and trim it. Sort of a modified mustache/beard thing going on. Hope this helps. Don't know if something similar will look good on your girl or not...Good luck!

Probably totally not what they want but I thought if I could get it to load I'd send it anyway. Don't laugh too hard at the huge mushroom head (she was mine) it was the only way I could get her ears to stay down. I got her at 10 years old and she was missing several teeth, so I did a very little mustache (so she would not look like a frog) loved my little Sheri though best toy poodle in the whole wide world

Ironically, this dog came in today, 4 months LATER, and got the same do. LOL I was not happy with the owners, but they didn't know it.

I normally dread doing the landing strip down the nose, but I like how it turned out on yours, she looks cute
