  • Pet Paradise Set to Reopen Services

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. – (August 29, 2019) — Pet Paradise, a comprehensive pet services provider, is resuming day camp and grooming services on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The company’s day camp and grooming services operate in a building that was unaffected by the Aug. 18 fire. The building used to board pets is being renovated and remains closed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

“The Charlottesville Fire Department has completed a fire safety inspection and has given us the green light to reopen our day camp and grooming building,” said President and CEO of Pet Paradise Fernando Acosta-Rua. “The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but at this time we are confident it originated in an electrical box and no foul play or negligence appears to have been involved.”

Pet Paradise’s day camp building is located on a different section of the property than the boarding building. The day camp building is also on a separate power source and has been inspected by both the fire department and city.

“We are excited to welcome back our camp and grooming customers and appreciate all the community support we have received over the last several weeks.” said Manager of Pet Paradise Charlottesville Dustan Sweely. “We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the Charlottesville community and it only reinforces our desire to rebuild and come back better than ever.”.............
