Her curly blond locks were washed, trimmed and blown out. Also, she was treated to a mani-pedi.

“Chanel was very relaxed when I picked her up,” said Michael Pearl, the standard poodle's owner.

Salon Versace Dog Wash and Grooming opened in mid-January next door to Great Neck Nails.

The ritzy salon is adorned with crystal chandeliers, sliding teal barn doors and an ornately tiled receptionist desk. The modern teal/gray color palette and glamorous decor resembles an upscale boutique.

Kealy Ore, owner, said she opened Salon Versace as a tribute to her beloved black Lab, Versace, that died last Memorial Day.

The Oceanfront resident also owns Great Neck Doggie Day Care with her husband Edward.

“Versace was an amazing soul, so much more than a dog. He was our 'human' child,” said Ore.

“He’s the reason we created Salon Versace Dog Wash & Grooming. Hopefully, he is in puppy heaven chasing tennis balls on the beach with all his friends and can see his name in lights every day.”

The dog spa has state-of-the-art fiberglass walk-in spa tubs with aqua-colored Hardie plank sides. Customers have the option to have their dog bathed or pet owners can wash their dogs themselves for a lesser fee.

Man’s best friend also can be pampered with a variety of a la carte services such as nail polish, essential oil rubs, cucumber facial scrubs or a Nagayu skin therapy bath that helps heal skin issues such as itchiness and redness. Pups having really bad hair days can pay extra for a dematting service.
