  • Pet Spa Finds Way to Combat "Dog Days of Summer"

It’s no big news that everyone is battling the heat right now. While home air conditioners and backyard sprinklers are straining to help ease the hottest, most uncomfortable months of the Florida summer, one business is focusing on a member of the family that is often overlooked — the family pet.

“We offer ways to help make pets feel cooler and more comfortable in these hot months,” said Adogable Pet Services groomer Lindsay Gelfo, who keeps busy cutting dogs’ hair into fashionable summer hairdos. “We try to help pets battle the heat with our summer line of products,” which include a soothing aloe wash, epidermal sunscreen protection and a moisturizing aloe-conditioning massage.

Adogable Pet Services, located in the Publix shopping center in Sun City Center, specializes in the care and wellness of cats and dogs, offering holistic products and services geared toward a happy and healthy lifestyle. “We believe in giving pets the same loving tender care as their owners,” said manager Susan Pruett. “Our customers know they can trust us.”

Owned by Laura Rubin, Adogable Pet Services has been serving Sun City Center pet owners for more than four years. They pride themselves on staffing well-trained employees who are happy to share their knowledge about the products and grooming services they have to offer. “We have some of the best groomers around,” said Pruett. “They’ve been well educated, and it shows.”
Coordinators post updates to the message for grooming events, members contests, Classified Ads, GroomerTALK Radio shows and Magazine online.
