KLIPSAN — What do doggie hair styling, art instruction and sushi lessons have in common? Tina Grieve.
Each day at Paw Prints in the Sand, Grieve greets canine customers, usually by craning her neck, closing her eyes and mouth and waiting for the inevitable kissie-face delivered by furry Fidos who can spot an animal lover from 50 yards. It’s clear that she loves dogs as much as they adore her.
About six months ago, Grieve began this grooming gig when business owner Danielle Miller, who used to man the clippers, shifted next door to work full time, running her Klipsan Mini Mart.
Both businesses are close to the Peninsula Senior Activities Center (PSAC). Grieve soon realized that she could share her other passion — teaching — with people at PSAC. An accomplished artist, she began teaching art classes there once a month and in January, will give instruction in sushi making.....
