  • Benefit set for Haskell TX dog groomer who died of cancer

Friends of B.J. (Belinda) Miller are hosting a benefit Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Lone Star Bar, 541 Arnold Blvd.

Karen Taylor said proceeds from the benefit will pay funeral and medical expenses for Miller, of Haskell, who died Friday from lung cancer.

“Everyone loved B.J.,” Taylor said. “She was my best friend, and her family asked me to get the benefit together.”

Peace and rest to you, B.J..
We all need to take care of ourselves, Scissor Sisters!!!
Each and every groomer or stylist that our industry looses leaves a wake of loss that ripples across each of us, even if we didn't know them, it is still effectual to us. We are all connected, and with that, I have to tell you all that I hope you take time to love and care for yourselves; that you all know how effectually important you are- to your family, your friends, your clients, and your entire industry.
Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough. ~Franklin D. Roosevelt
