When I click on New Posts, and nothing new has been added since the last time, it now says: Sorry, there are no new threads to view.

You may search for threads updated during the previous 24 hours, (here).

That is great, as now I won't miss so many threads, especially since I'm often in a hurry, just sort of peeking.
Money will buy you a pretty good dog but it won't buy the wag of it's tail.

I'm new here and still trying to figure out the best way to keep track of all the new posts I haven't read. So far, I've learned that "New Posts" doesn't show ALL of the posts I haven't read so there must be some type of time period criteria it's using to determine which posts are new. I too have been using the message you mentioned or the "Today's Posts" under "Quick Links" to check for any new messages I've missed. I've also learned that threads containing messages I haven't read won't always appear in bold lettering under "Today's Posts" so it must have a time period criteria too. Sometimes, I can tell what threads I've missed by looking at the last user name who posted.
