Who's going to Atlanta?

Is anyone planning on going to the Atlanta Pet Fair? I would love to go this year. I have NEVER been to one of the big pet expos and I want to experience it first hand. If any of you guys are planning to go, maybe we could plan to meet and "do lunch" or something. I would love to meet my message board pals face to face!!

I'm thinking about it...Is there another grooming event in North Carolina this summer?? Somewhere I saw it, but now can't find it and think maybe I just misread or am losing my mind...That's always a possibility.

I f you go to a expo Atlanta is every bit as good as Hershey but soooooooo much cheaper. The seminars are the same spaekers and such,but a fraction of the the price.

I am lucky that I live close enough to Atlanta that I can do w/out a hotel if I want. Unless, of course I decide to stay for more than one day!

I'm going-I've had my room reserved and my admission paid since early December LOL!! (I think I was the 10th person to register for the show!) There will be a BIG gathering of internet folks on Thursday night with lots of "face time" for those of us who want to meet others from the boards. So, how are we going to ID ourselves to eachother? I have a pr. of flashing deelie-bobbers I'll wear---anyone else

OH!! Sorry to double post like this but I forgot about the other show. It's the NDGAA Grand Ol' GroomFest in the Carolinas and it is usually the first weekend of June in Charlotte, NC. NOT as big as Atlanta but still a good show!

I'm the same way...Accept finding someone reliable enough to housesit gives me anxiety by itself!! Kids are going to Grandma's - but the animals??? I think I will reserve the room and purchase the Stylist package and worry about the housesitter later....

I'm planning on gong too. I have to figure out all the details as to who will babysit who will dogsit and who will work while I am gone!! But I can't wait. One of my groomer friends and I were talking about it at dinner last nite and how we were so excited about this show. We both agreed we were looking forward to a stress-free getaway. I told her the only thing I am gonna be stressed about is NOT having enough money to buy everything I want there!!!

My hubby and I are talking about making it a "family" event. We may go down for the weekend, I will do a day of seminars/classes/shopping while Todd and the kids play. Then the next day we may go to the aquarium!!!! Whether we make it as a family event or I go by myself I am going!!! Even if it is only for a day!!! Hope to see y'all there!!

Hairdevil, you better hurry...rooms are going fast. It isn't unusual for the host hotel to sell out long before the published room block release date!

Im going! Im lucky though I only live about a hour from Atlanta.
I worked for Ann's mobile business and at one time helped with the Pet Fair so its like going home to vist family!
