Groom Expo offers Professional Pet Care Education and Huge Pet Care Trade Show

Groom Expo, the world’s largest pet care professional trade show and seminar, returns to the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, Hershey PA, in Sept. 6-9, 2007. Last year, this event drew 3800 pet pros and 170 booths.
This year’s theme is “Professional Pet Care at the Crossroads,” says show promoter, Sally Liddick. “Pet care professionals have many avenues to choose now as they expand and enlarge their businesses. We want to provide the best educational offerings to our audience.”
Attendees can select from multiple tracks of educational seminars covering grooming, pet health, holistics, boarding, pet daycare, animal behavior, business, marketing, retail and training.
Groomers, veterinarians, boarding operators, mobile groomers, trainers, day care operators, breeders, handlers, vet technicians, pet retailers, animal behaviorists, shelter personnel and anyone else in the pet care industry will find topics that enhance their knowledge.
There are many popular speakers for this event. Over thirty five speakers will be on hand. A two day Animal Behavior Conference, featuring Pia Silvani, will showcase solutions to behavior problems while gaining a unique perspective of the canine mind. Pia will also offer a four hour workshop on pet playgroups and safety. Another feature in the four-day Expo is the Oster Grooming Theater. Attendees see every snip and clip of different breeds LIVE on a giant screen in this popular event.
A big Mobile Round-Up gives mobile groomers a chance to showcase their vehicles while mobile wannabes have a chance to see some of the latest vehicles and talk to successful mobile operators.
One of the most popular events at Groom Expo is Dancing with the Dog Stars and Off Lead Doggie Dancing Competition. This venue provides trainers and their talented dogs a format to showcase their special talent of freestyle coordinated dancing. It is an audience favorite.
A large pet services trade show enables vendors, occupying over 170 booths, to show their newest items and product lines.
Multiple grooming contests take place on the trade show floor for the GroomOlympics competition with over 125 dogs. Prize money is offered in all levels of competition. Contestants from beginner to expert test their skills in the grooming arena. Over $30,000.00 in prize money. An additional $30,000.00 grooming contest jackpot is up for grabs in the Winners Circle Tournament, this year.
