Carolina GroomFest Whos going?

Its only a few weeks away! I can't wait.. I will be going with 3 this time, maybe 4.. Poodle, Mix, Cocker and maybe Bichon. Who else? I will be arriving thrusday afternoon.. We all need to get together..

Bubbles, DJ and I will be there, Butch and Anita are going to be there also. I don't know what all I am bringing. A standard poo for sure, but the others are still up in the air. I am going to look at a bichon that is coming in today to enter in misc, and the springer I was going to use doesn't get along with the standard that DJ is bringing, so I don't know if I am going to use him or just save him for Petquest.

What hotels are you guys stayin at?? The rooms at the hotel the show is at only as single bed rooms left..no doubles....I'm still looking for a hotel that will accomodate 3 adults and 6-7 dogs... Let me know where you guys are stayin...

I'll be there, but we're not leaving here (CT) til Thursday afternoon probably, so we won't be down there til Friday night. Not fun! Anyway, I'll be attempting another groom in the competition ring, lol. Definately with the Std, not sure about the Kerry, I saw her last week and she has no hair on her legs!!! Well, I hope she grows fast, or I won't even bother entering. I think Terriers are on Saturday morning anyway, so if I miss it, I won't be too upset, lol. See you all there! Bring it on, Butch! Okay, bring on something other than Tequila! Who all is coming with you? I know Anita is...I just reserved a room at the site hotel-they said I got the last room...no more available. DJ and I have to figure out something, cuz we don't want to share a single room. If you find something close and reasonably priced, I wouldn't be opposed to cancelling my reservation there, esp if no one else is staying there. I tried our usual residence inn, but they are insanely expensive out there, and not very close either!

There's a La Quinta on the other side of the interstate that's pretty nice! I'll be there to watch...and help pour shots. Or should I bring my blender

I booked same hotel you guys did..and I also reserved 2 separate rooms for that price. Megs (she came with me to ATL) and Anita are joining me for this particular adventure. Theres a really nice lady (Nicole) who I helped with her Standard (she posted a pic on the pictures thread) but she will be also caravaning with us.
BowWow..if you bring your blender we will become very good friends...lol...

Supposedly there's supposed to be a room set up with tubs and dryers? I have no idea....

and that's one of the things I'm cautious about - is how in the world I'm going to bathe these dogs that I'm bringing. I can probably borrow a small portable dryer - but I don't have a hose for it. Unless I can rent space in someone's shop locally.

I'm so nervous!!! It'll be my first time out!

They have a Bathing Room!

Yes they have a place to bathe and prep your dogs. I used it last year! Its not the best, but it works! They have HV dryers and stand dryers. But be prepared to bathe in the wee hours of the morning. I will be there bathing away!
