yeah, plug in to their house. I plug in where ever I can. There are some places that have no where for you to plug in. I have never had a client tell me that I could not plug in. Most of them encourage it so they don't have to hear the gene. Those that don't have anywhere to plug in know that gene is lound and they just go in the house. I have never had any problems. Where did you get your trailer from?

Go inverter. I have never had a generator so I don't have any tips but most of my clients have such large houses that they don't hear anything.

I use a Honda eb3000IS that I got at Northern Tool. It is so quiet that you can stand right next to it and have a conversation and not shout! I looooove my Honda!!!

          Not that bad.

The generator sounds louder when you first start it, but then it settles into a mild hum. Most of my customers don't even notice it, as they are inside the house with well insulated walls.

Inverters are AWESOME!!! Is this a new trailer and you did not know the generator would be noisy?

Build a box made of wood and lined with sheet metal. If it's an Onan you need to get the diagram of how big the bottom opening should be because it is air cooled and you can't 'box' in the whole thing. It needs to pull in cool air and push out hot air. If it's not an Onan, check to see how it is vented and use common sense to box it in.

Ok yes it was new, and you didn't know...the box that is lined sounds like the best way to go....
