  • Tax deductions for attending Grooming Trade Shows

For those who have gone to trade shows and deducted expenses, what expenses are deductible? If you stay an extra day after the show, can you still deduct the travel back?

You can deduct all expenses........the extra day, I wouldn't.......but the trip back....yes.

Because the tax laws change yearly, it is prudent that every business should have a tax accountant do your taxes. The average person knows NOTHING about all of the deductions that are offered by each State at any given year. The State of OH gave a large deduction for small business, for two years, and I was able to take home an extra $1600......... AND the accountant's bill is taken off your business expense !!

Happy hiring an accountant to do your taxes

Yes, everything is deductible. As Dolly said not staying the extra day, but certainly the trip back, because you would have had to do that anyway.

Unless you were doing something business related that extra day, meeting clients, delivering something, picking up something etc

            Thank you. Good to know.
I hope it's not an IRS "red flag" to go to trade shows more than once a year. I'd love to start going regularly.
