  • Startup Costs

Please refer to the Research Center of PetGroomer.com. There is a link in the left column of this page under Hot Spots of PetGroomer.com. There is a Startup Costs Main Menu of Info available.

You may be interested to know that one of MANY Excel spreadsheets in Pet Grooming Business Plan Helper & Sampler, a Grooming Business in a Box Book and CDROM is a complete shopping list for a grooming business. You enter the name of your source of the product or service, quantity and price and it creates a professionally organized shopping list and it's just what the accountant needs to setup your business accounting.

There is a lot of technical detail for startup costs too for tax purposes and meeting SBA loan requirements. There are those differentiated by the time they are purchased, before you open your doors for business, and from that day forward. Startup costs are further divided into Assets and Expenses...this is fully discussed in Pet Grooming Business Plan Helper & Sampler over many pages. Many pet groomers doing their own bookkeeping and tax reporting make errors in handling Startup Costs accurately, or correctly, and it can trigger an audit. Home, mobile, salon etc, doesn't make a difference.
