    Animated Wink Grooming Rats

They like to "groom" themselves and others, so people consider them as clean pets. But like cats, don't they need bathing to be truly clean and not just licked clean by saliva? We used to groom a couple of them for an elderly couple.

I used to bath my rats … I just filled my sink up and let them swim in it and washed them down with kids shampoo or dish washing liquid(I was 9 at the time don't shout at me !)
