Tech Cat Having trouble finding a cat groomer to recommend

I am a big supporter of cat groomers. We do some but it is not our specialty. I am so amazed by cat groomer pros. You know I search around locally and I cannot find a specialist in our area. Sad. We need more cat only groomers.

Emma and other cat groomers how do you make yourself best known?

Yelp reviews. A website. Word of mouth. The usual. People usually find me by doing online search. I have to hustle to stay busy. Some cat groomers handle thousands of cats a year, it seems like. I'm not one of them. They're a lot more successful than I am, so they are the ones to ask.

    Now for my "rant".
Why are you referring clients to other people? You be the specialist. Set one day aside each month for only cats, no dogs, if you don't already. Maybe a Sunday afternoon. Simple way to increase salon income and to get more experience.
I don't do lion cuts, except for a few clients I've been seeing for years.
Other than that, it's washing, drying, claws, brushing. Oh, and knowing that when a cat pants, you need to take a break.
Now you may be wondering . . . what about those cats that freak out, panic, poor little creatures.

I don't groom them unless they're sedated with Gabapentin. Why would I put a cat through that much fear?
I may not be able to give every cat a bath or a blow dry -- that's true -- but I can clean them up and get them comfortable.
I could give you some tips that would make you instantly able to make more money from doing (kind and gentle) grooming. There's kind of a conspiracy to make it seem like this highly dangerous job.
    End of "rant".

You are right but maybe she doesn't feel her cat groomer is qualified enough?

    It mainly takes patience.
