Business Plans for Mobile Grooming
Starting a mobile grooming business typically involves less cash outlay than a commercial location. You do need to investigate licenses carefully. Sometimes you need to get local approval from each city, town or county you groom in the form of a license or permit. Also, some housing asso... -

Chicken Liver Dog Cookies
I made dog cookies 2 years ago. The recipe was a big hit with the dogs. Here it is: Chicken Liver Cookies 2 cups Rice Flour 3 tbs. Vegetable oil 1 cup wheat germ (or cormeal if wheat allergies are a problem) 1 egg, lightly beaten 1/2 cup chicken broth 2 tsp. parsley 1 cup cooked chicken liver, chopped Combine flour and wheat germ. In separate bowl, beat egg with oil, then add broth & parsley, mix well. Add the dry ingredients to bowl a little at a time, stirring well. Fold... -

Gingerbones
This recipe was in BARK magazine quite a few years ago and is a favorite. They smell so good baking. I use a bone shaped cookie cutter. GINGERBONES Ingredients 4 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup molasses 1 cup water ½ cup vegetable oil 4 tablespoons ground ginger 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground cloves Place all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly to combine. You may need to add a little more oil and water to mix into a good doughy... -

Even Groomers Need a Company Attorney
You may never need an attorney as a pet groomer, but having one associated with your business can be invaluable at times and provide some peace-of-mind. An attorney who understands business affairs can save you dollars and protect your business with legal safeguards. You should have an attorney right from the start of your business. Don't wait for an unfortunate situation to occur before finding an attorney. The importance of a good working relationship with one cannot be over stressed. Don't be sh... -

By understanding the basic health mechanisms of our bodies, we can significantly improve our responses to illnesses and adverse factors. The same is true for our pets, and a holistic approach torwards their health might be the right choice. Holistic pet care is based on understanding the pet’s needs and problems as a whole. The most common company forms are: Sole Proprietor This legal structure is very common. It is very easy to setup, and there are fewer requirements to file applications with the government compared to... -

In 1961 we opened our first grooming business on the West Coast. It was a two-person operation, husband and wife. With 5 children the pressure was on to maximize grooming and bathing quality and demand to afford a modern family home. Opening one of the first shops on Main Street was a challenge. There were no road maps for moving grooming largely from kennel departments to standalone operations along commuter expressways. Grooming industry books were rare let alone publications on...-

Starting with the Fall 2019 issue of PetGroomer.com Magazine, many of the magazine articles will be copied here. You will still download a copy of the whole magazine at www.petgroomermagazine.com or use the E-BOOK version at the site to read. No changes there.
