Shock Cat Police emergency shutdown lots of business today

We still don't know exactly what was going on but 2 blocks of our street was shut off today by police. We had 8 dogs already dropped off. We continued to groom them but for pickup we had to walk them down 2 blocks to meet their owners. About 2 hours in we just cancelled the rest of the day. Cell phones made this easier keeping in contact and finding their cars where they found a spot to park, and to keep an eye out for us. We took our mobile CC to process payments, and some paid over phones. Well it sure kept us figuring out strategies but got through it.

We had a building fire across the street that did the same thing. Customers had to park a block or more away and walk to us.

So thankful for today's technology! You can take mobile payments, and contact the customers on their cell phones. Isn't that amazing!

This has happened a couple times to us, even once the water went out with a main burst. You do what you can. Sounds like you handled it very well.

We had a power pole sparking and it shutdown the street for HOURS. The traffic was so bad most everyone rescheduled.
