Brows Pink Rust damage, just curious

I don't live in an area where rust damage is common. But I do view the used mobile grooming vans and I notice a few talk about the rust damage. When that happens there is really nothing that can be done when it eats through all the way. Right? I would think rust beginning would be repairable, sanding down and painting whatever they do. Right? But once through the body work with holes, can they actually fill those in and paint them out?

Yes, cut out old metal, weld in new, grind, fill, sand, prime, paint, cut and polish.

Thanks Tom. Nope I am not going to go through that most likely. Too many other ones to choose from. Good to know.
