Brows Up Cat More cat grooming referrals lately - one said thanks

You know about 2 months ago there was an article in the newspaper about cat grooming. We started getting some calls for it, but we no longer offer it as my cat grooming employee, a specialist, retired. I bet we have easily gotten 30 requests for cat grooming since that article. We refer them to 2 cat groomers we know of. We write it on our business card and ask them to show the card to the cat groomers. One of them actually has called and thanked us. The other has never called to acknowledge our referrals. It is hard to imagine she hasn't seen at least one of the cards. At this point I think I will only refer the one cat groomer that acknowledges us, it's just professional. I always thank the source of referrals we get. Does this sound right to you?

Well it would be nice. I suppose you just look at it that you helped the pet owner.

I do referrals based on what I know about the skill and gentleness of the groomer. I used to refer people to a groomer who actively disliked me, but who was definitely an animal lover. I don't care if they thank me, since I'm not doing it for them.

I wish there were more cat groomers in my area. There may be but they don't advertise by appearances, and I would welcome their business cards.

I dont do cats but went to google and fb and found some cat groomers in Atlanta. I said I turn away cats and am looking to make referrals, perhaps they could do the same back to me with dogs. In about a month 3 took the time to see me in person. We worked out a nice deal for everyone and I chose one in particular. It worked out great.
