I see this is an older thread but I have to say I really like mine. If you are using them on dark nails get the white and use it first then put the color over the top. You need to make sure that the white is dry before putting the color on or it will smudge. I use them on my poodle's black nails all the time. They work great without a base coat on light color nails. They last for about a week/10 days before they wear off. So much easier than standard nail polish. I have them in every color. Really easy to use if you read the instructions so you don't end up with excess paint all over.

Even with the white base coat on blk nails, they still are not a good product imho.

I got some when they first came out. They are really great as far as ease of applying but the tips get funky after pushing down on them all the time to replenish the polish, it's hard to get a smooth finish, and when using the white under color, even when completely dry, the color polish still pulls up the white or mixes with it. Now mine just sit in a drawer with all the other equipment I had to try and didn't end up liking.

Obviously you have figured out the "formula" for using these successfully, while others have not. A little more detail on how you apply them, or a short video, might help others learn how to use them. Everything seems to have a unique process for application, and this product is no different. They appear to be very much like paint- marking pens used in other industries and touch-up pens used in gunsmithing. I assume that these are mainly used on poodles?? Are the used on other breeds?
