    Wink

She was in hospital for 10 days and had a 1001 tests and scans done including a lumbar puncture along with iv fluids. She was having the finger prick test regularly to monitor her blood sugar and apparently they can't find any thing wrong even though there are some very obvious symptoms.

OMG how scary! She needs that show "Mystery Diagnosis."

Yeah. My mum is really livid over the fact she is still clearly very unwell and still sent her home. I think mum is waiting for my sister to have a bad turn and take her back , it sounds horrible but it wouldn't be the first we have had to do that.

Actually it sounds par for the course.....this is what Dr's specialize in......doing nothing to help time and time again.
Ain't always easy to stand up for what is right.

Oh my, you have had a lot to deal with. If things happen in three's, you should be in the clear and hopefully up for three good things. So hoping the first good thing is a diagnosis for your sister. That helpless feeling is so horrible. Number two wish for you is that the diagnosis is something not life altering. Number three is for some peace, making it through your financial difficulties, and internalizing that you were not at fault for the nail shedding pug. Hmmm..that's kind of a three part wish, but the heck with the rules. I wish it anyway.

Can you take her to a doctor who does't work at the hospital? Shop around and get other opinions? There's such a wide variety of skill level among doctors when it comes to diagnosis. Even if a doctor is famous or considered to be a star, they can still be blind to some things. Good luck!

Emma , I've suggested that already to my mum to get a second , third, fourth opinion from a diffent Dr and hospital but my sis is just fed of oh being a human pin cushion and my mum is too angry to listen.

I think mum feels that they are relying too much on test results and because they are coming back clear or inconclusive they are not looking at her actual physical and mental symptoms ( she's had personality changes, only slight, that if you didn't know her well you wouldn't notice but close friend and family would)
