    Default Wet clipping

Hi, I've been grooming for a couple of years now and only recently have seen more people saying they are 'wet clipping'. I can't say I've ever heard of this and obviously have never done it! How is this done and why is it done? Doesn't it ruin clippers and blades?

Just very curious, and if its a technique that can help me in my grooming, I am certainly willing to learn :-)

    Thanks!

Wet clipping is the greatest thing since clipping.

My new bravura was delivered right in the middle of a wet shave. I tore that box open and it was beautiful.

I am yet to try this, but I thank you for the post as well, parti. I have printed it out and will try it first chance I get. We can't do this in petsomething, but am going mobile soon and can't wait! :-)

I work at petsomething, and I do it a lot lol. Especially when were are super busy.. on a full day we have 8 groomers and 1-2 bathers.. 2 tubs.. 3 if you bathe one on the floor.. 1 dryer at each of the two tubs and one at the bathers station .. which leaves only one other drying table which doesnt cut it if everyone is using a station. You better believe i grab a towel and slap my dog on a table and start clipping away. By the time Im done with the body a table is available and my dog is about 90% dry and I have saved time!

    Jiggy

Parti, the video convinced me to try my first wet shave tonight. I dont usually have many that are that badly matted since becoming HB, but tonight I had my OAY Sibe ( fuzzy tx sibe, yuck!) I kept looking at all that matted mess that was going to be floating all over my salon and thought I am going to wet shave this dog. Wow!!!! In 1 hour I had her scrubbed clean and clipped down with a 5f. Clean up was a breeze! All I have left to do in the am (she is boarding) is finish work. I figure it saved me atleast 45 min clipping time and and hour of clean up time ( that dang floating hair).
So many thanks to you Parti, you ROCK!!!!!
Now I am going to try it on a OAY cocker tomorrow.
Ain't always easy to stand up for what is right.
