Great tips, thanks for sharing. Love both of them. I have one dang nabit poodle that everytime I go to trim his top knot, he throws his head up. Not side to side, always up. Arghh. If I try to hold his mustache he totally freaks with that, so I have been using the palm of my hand gently across the bridge of his nose which helps a little with him not throwing his head up and also try to do some of the top knot with him facing away from me. So am going to try the puppy trick. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated though.

    Not Worthy

It's like you were reading my mind about a shih-tzu I did the other day. I was dreading for him to come back because he is crazy for face work. Now I can't wait for his next appointment so I can try this - thanks SO MUCH!

Thanks for the tip, I am definitely going to try it! Now do you (or anyone else) have any helpful hints about how to deal with dogs that are struggling and fighting about getting their front legs clippered?

    Default Thanks

Was wondering how to get their heads to stay still better. As a newbie am really nervous doing faces anyway. This should really work!

    LOL

I should take a picture of how I groom Ella's face. She bites to have her poodle face done, so I use a towel and it helps a lot. I've started doing it with other face-bitey dogs and it's been very helpful in not getting me bit.

Haha, this made me laugh cause today i picked up my clipper with my left and tried to shave a tiny patch of hair while holding with my right. Couldnt do it to save my life, ha. I like that this pic is in my mind now, im sure i'll bust out this move sometime soon.
