I having been thinking about adding on some spa services. Just wondering about how to do the procedures (mud, salt). How much to charge for these services? I live in a really small town so I really dont know how well this add on would be. Thanks

Maybe instead of super fancy spa muds and salts you could start with facials, deep conditioners, etc. Then upgrade if it goes well...I would probably charge between $5-$10 depending on size and condition of dog.
Good Luck!!
I am Anti-Spa packages and add ons. My prices are all inclusive with facials and anything else the dog needs - including hot oils, nail polish and flea shampoo. I retail the 2 or 3 products that I use - sell tons of blueberry facials, EyeMunity powder from Happy Tails and coat sparkle spray. I'd rather sell $45 - $75.00 worth of products after telling them - sniff your dog - lol Far better than the $10 that you have to hard sell to customers. But to each his own. If you want to post your prices for spa packages then do so. Many are finding in this tough economy that people are not even tipping anymore, nevermind an additional $10 for an add-on. But, my retail is down only about 8% this year. It has been relatively consistent.
I do have the add-on facials and paw-dicures but rarely sell them. However, I do find that if I mention that I gave someone a free facial for some minor inconvenience or as a referral gift then the clients LOVE it! They love getting something for nothing. Plus, all my pre-booked Preferred clients receive it as part of their VIP package. They like getting something extra that others don't get without paying for it. So sometimes having them benefits you in other ways!
