Smile S.E Michigan, N.W Ohio. Need help with figures

Coming down to the final stages of our business plan for our pet facility. We are going thru SBA and they want "local" stats on grooming shops, boarding, doggy daycare. I've got the figures I need for the boarding and daycare but I'm having a little trouble getting the figures I need from the local grooming shops...been hung up on twice! I need to know how many dogs you groom a day, how many cats you groom a day, how many days a week you are open. That's all I need to know. One shop told me it was none of my business how many they groom a day and we don't need another grooming shop! There are a couple more groomers I could call, but now I'm a little gun shy and I don't want to lie to them to get the info that I need. I just don't get it...there are over 13,000 dogs that have been licensed in my county alone. Figuring only half of the people have their dog licensed...well that's alot of dogs. There are plenty to go around! So If anyone from South East Michigan or North West Ohio could help me out it would be greatly appreciated!

I used to groom in Toledo, I might be able to get you some stats if you still need them.

Thank You for your response. I have'nt been on here in a while...we have been so busy with everything. I need to know how many pets on average are groomed per day. I would like this info from Lucas Co, Ohio, Fulton Co, Ohio, Monroe Co, Mi., Lenawee Co, Mi and Washtenaw Co. Mi. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I was in Lucas county when I worked there. I was required by my boss to groom 11 a day, my other groomer would do 10, but she came in late. Than was Mon-Fri and Saturdays we were only open until 1 so I did 4.
Now they have built a new hospital and changed hours. She works full time and does 12-15 a day, and the other groomer does 8-10. They are now open until 5pm on Saturdays but onyl one groomer so they average 8-10 dogs that day. She's very much a type A personality and though has been grooming far less time than I have she has always been faster than me! They have a bather to assist. This is right now when things are busy. Even when it slowed down there when I was there I was still doing 8 dogs a day and able to give her 6-7. It is located within a vet hospital that also does boarding which always seemed to help prevent too much of a slow down.
